Just in time for AvA War
« on: June 17, 2016, 05:36:59 PM »
There's an updated sandbox in the AvA Beta Arena. I have some bugs left to iron out, but it is a fun terrain right now and we need it for the AvA War. Here are some teasers.
The terrain is in the Beta AvA arena now.

I'm looking at some bomber runs on Tuesday nights starting in the next week or two.

Beer at Roy's Place -- while waiting for someone to attack

I had issues with trees so I took them out but eventually it will look more like this.

If you feel like driving around and blowing up buildings, then Spawn from 177 or 202 into Antwerp. It also has the fewest trees right now.

It currently takes high graphics settings to see the City from the air without the underlying water showing. That will be fixed after the next Object/Terrain Editor updates, but for now, this is how it is.

Wan'a go bomb some V2s?
Since this shot was taken, I've updated the V2s

I cheated, I used the familiar Flak base for now.

Comments Welcome
Do you see any issues with the CBM?
Do you wish to see additional labels on the CBM?
Is there an area where you want more spawn points?
Same for factories and air spawns.

If you find a base that isn't blending with the terrain, please .psave [with a file name matching the base number].
Same for a factory only use the sector number or factory type.
Thanks

Very cool Easyscor, and a lot of work... that's sure a lot of fields!

On my machine all of the new cities appear flooded when viewed from a distance.  The proper ground texture pops into view when I get closer.

The city SW of A105 has incorrect ownership.

Thank you Oldman, and Devil. I always appreciate kind words for my projects!

Thanks 715. You watched how it progressed over the last few weeks so you appreciate the efforts involved more then most. I've found I must push my Radon HD 6850 to its limit to avoid that flooded look at the cities, or use zoom to look at them. I'll fix that city near 105 and reload the terrain. Thanks.

Now that I've worked with enough of the independent parts required to arrive at this point, I finally feel modestly qualified to compile a check list of "features" to run against the editors and their functions. Even with editor updates, I don't know how long it will take me to fix those flooded cities but it's a priority as you might imagine.
