make transcription pedal into flight pedals?
« on: September 18, 2016, 11:37:37 PM »
has anyone used one of these as flight pedals? its primary use is for transcription programs, on the website there is a generic driver but i have no coding experience but if someone has already done this i would like to know. i see them at thrift stores for 1-2 dollars on a constant basis.

Basically they should work if Windows can see them as a gaming device. Generic drivers might even work as such, the functions being determined in game.

How they would work as such depends on several things. First, is there a pot or a button beneath each pedal? Second, if there's a pot the trajectory doesn't look long enough for fine tuning your rudder. Third... Hmm, since the pedals are for forward and reverse they actually already work as a rudder would instead of how a gas and a brake pedal would.

For a couple of bucks definitely worth a try!  :joystick:

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

the driver for it  only works with the transcription programs, but they give a basic driver on their website that can be coded to work with other programs if you know how to code. I was hoping someone may  have already done this. or maybe willing to do so to use with with the game. either as flight pedals... or even for vechicles..
