My state has been very blessed to have such men as Neil Armstrong and John Glenn as natives of Ohio.  We are very proud.

Godspeed to both of these brave men.

Yeah I've heard about that. What is it about Ohio that makes people want to leave the planet?  :neener:

A big :salute to a very brave man. A national hero. A decent and honest politician (how often do you get to say that about someone.) With all the risks he took, in war, in test flying, in pioneering space flight, 95 is a damn good run.

He was often asked how it felt to sit on top of a rocket before launch.

His standard answer was, "How would you feel sitting on top of 2 million parts supplied by the lowest bidder on a government contract."
