Pre Memorial Flight ?
« on: February 25, 2017, 05:39:08 PM »
I am very sad to hear the news about ET37. I have flown many times with him over the years. There have been a few icons in the aces high community but when it comes to mutual respect and class well ET37 is top of that list. One of his sayings had influenced me so much that I pass it on to others in this game. Quote from ET37 "If you don't bring a bomb your a parnoldy". Many times I would put a bomb on my fighter and sometimes it came in handy. He was always up for running a mission or joining a mission or just bombing stuff but never boring when he would log on. ET37 would always find away to kick the hornets nest or take a few bases back from the enemy. I remember they day his wife passed and he was on aces high. At first I was thinking what is he doing on aces high so soon. The answer came to me after about 15 minutes and it all made sense. It does not matter if your a rook or a knight or even a bishop he wanted to be with his family. He loved us and he will be missed by all of us. I know ET37 cant see well or play but he probably can here us. If the devil dogs would like to fill the rook skies with bombers on vox 171 in the next few days well count me in. I know the 49th loves him and many others aswell , who knows mayby he get a kick out of listening to us. God Bless FT37 and God Bless the Devil Dogs  :salute

Wow.  I've seen a few posts over the years about folks passing or having issues and looking toward the after.....

It is with sadness and respect, my heartfelt prayers and well wishes to WT and the family.

While this may be a game, and at times we literally fight like cats and dogs, brothers and sisters.... we should always recognize that this is just a game, it is a place to gather and play, have fun, with common interest. At the end of the map, we are all the same, no where without another country.

God bless ET and all our adversaries, or perceived adversaries, so that we may all be flying together for pleasure only.

I would think the best memorial flight for ET would be a huge pickup mission that we hit the middle of the bush and knits.  Something that ET loved to do.   It would be nice if his Devil Dogs would take the lead.

In I will change countries for the day or night to make sure I can fly this memorial. I had had some good times With ET and hunting his buffs and he was usually the one making it back home and not me.

Back in the day there were memorial flights where pilots from all countries flew together, fingers off the triggers,  in formation and, in at least one case, dove into an "active" volcano.

I would be up for that too. I do not mind changing sides as the 80th do it all the time for fights.

This is special so it does not matter for me at all which side I need to be on.
