Budget rig for a returning pilot

Getting back in Aces High after a several year hiatus  and located a rig to start up with, again.

CYBERPOWERPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A4 Desktop Gaming PC (Intel i5-7400 3.0GHz, AMD RX 580 4GB, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB 7200RPM HDD, WiFi, Win 10 Home

Obviously it's a budget rig and want to make sure it will play AH3 fine for a year or two. Also will this setup make a solid foundation to  upgrade down the road with  Nvidia 1080 or the likes of AMD variety. I guess the main question is will RX 580 4GB be enough to let me by for now and will a simple GPU swap don the road allow me to dabble in  VR.
Lastly will Win10 give me grief running AH3, should I reload it with Win7 on the arrival?

Some quick thoughts.....I think that puter would easily run AH3, depending on what kind of demands your monitor puts on it you may need to turn down some graphics settings.  Also, if you're so inclined folks here will also likely help you with a budget build ideas.  I think Win 10 is fine with a big but, which is that the recent Win 10 "Creator's Edition" is full of problems and some of us have had to roll Win 10 back to an earlier version to keep our puters working well.

Thank you brother, a am excited at a thought of flying again. I am totally open to the idea of the build but it appears that the components are pricy nowadays. I had hard time finding components for the price of this complete tower.

You're welcome novice.  Thinking about it a bit more I'm running a 1440 p monitor with a similar machine, usually 74 fps, most graphics full up, sometimes bogs down some when things get busy but never to annoying or unplayable.  I have 8 GB DDR4, an i3 6100 (3.7 Ghz), and a 3 GB GTX 1060.  I also have thoughts of going to VR sometime in the next year, and have thoughts about building a faster machine for that.  But I am quite happy overall with my current build for AH3.

Thank you for posting your setup info especially monitor info. So assume its a far statement to say the bigger the monitor/monitor's the more demand on the GPU? What size is your monitor in inches?

My monitor is 32" but I think independent of size the 2 most important factors in terms of demand on the computer are resolution and refresh rate.  Eg my current monitor will refresh at 75 Mhz equivalent to max of 75 frames per second, and resolution.  The faster the refresh rate, and the greater the resolution, the greater the demand on the puter to generate detail and faster movement (more fps).   Current gaming monitors, in a general sense roughly span 1920 by 1080 (1080p) on the lower end, with 1440 p (2650 by 1440) to the high end 4K (3840 x 2160).  Refresh rates tend to range from 60 Mhz to 144 mhz.  So the high end, most demanding (and expensive) monitors would be 4K running at 144 mhz, super detailed and silky smooth.  The more demanding the monitor, the more computing power needed.  Basically more detailed output (more pixels to generate) and higher refresh rates drive computing need much more than the size of the monitor.

Looks like a nice one that your proposed system would run AH3 well on.  My guess is that you'd get 60 fps with graphics maxed out or close to maxed out.  Let us know how it works out for you.

Last minute change to Asus vg 245h for a monitor due to 75hz refresh rate and added Thrustmaster 16000 flight pack  (stick, pedals and throttle) to the order. Pretty stoked. Thank you for all your help!!!
