Up this week: Pacific Battles, December 1943
« on: December 23, 2017, 12:37:56 PM »
As the winter settles in the northern states, America's war machine is gathering steam. With ship, airplane, and tank production entering numbers never seen before, the sleeping giant is fully awake, and it's mad.  With Germany U-Boat wolf-packs sinking convoys from Halifax to the UK, and the stubborn Japanese entrenched in various islands around the Philippines, the USN and USAAF finally are getting some wins. A recent destroyer skirmish around the of Cape St. George (Battle of Cape St. George) resulted in a win for the USN at 5 and 0 - 5 IJN ships sunk with no USN damage. Recent installation of the Mark I radars for the 5" on the Fletcher class destroyers make their shells land with uncanny accuracy in all kinds of weather and light. The Corsair is about to enter service, as well as an average of 40 aircraft carriers, 2 battle ships, and a hundred destroyers, cruisers, and a variety of other naval vessels all equipped with advanced radar and combat systems. General MacArthur is preparing the beginning plans to recapture the Philippines mainland with General Eisenhower is officially named head of Overlord, the invasion of Normandy.

The Manhattan project now is 1 + year since first fission. Things are not going well for either fascist Germany nor Japanese Imperial forces with the three powers (USSR/USA/UK) now  working together their forces and resources.

Not too bad but I had hopes the edit would add:

Perfect setting - favorites among many players. :)

Also ... might you consider bumping the A6M5b for the A6M3?

By now the A6M3 was replaced by the M5 variant for at least two months and both the Dauntless and Val were regulated to strictly ancillary and training tasks.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But what the hell, it’s Xmas. I’ll add them shortly.
