No flame here! Thats a good idea! Heck, if allowed...I would pony up for some prizes. That might take a lot of work, to eliminate fraud/set up fair competition but I am game if we could work out some details! It would be a GREAT way to increase my own personal game play fun. Only as good as the competition and more folk means better opportunity :aok

isnt that what achievements are for?

By my thinking SURE. What I meant was if there was a way to "Zero" out the Achievements at Tour end. Only way to accurately measure these "Achievement-ish" accomplishments? Would need to do this if prizes were on the line...unless there is another way? I am new here...so I dont expect to know how everything works. Any ideas are welcomed! To me, this seems like a good way to get more involvement in "actual combat", which seems to be a sticking point of late? Sounds good to me, anyway.

Since Fortnite is the current generation's big online gaming success story, how does Epic Game's accomplish keeping it's target demographic's attention? Netflix has admitted Fortnite is a competitor for the target demographic. Means TV and movies are not holding younger customers attention. Most of us grew up on TV of some kind, WW2 movies, and cable channle specials on WW2 about airplanes.

Look at WT's strategy of going gamey with lots of graphics, glitz and personal customization. WO: P serves up the gamey at least. Supposedly in the MA we are supposed to shoot at each other, not perform areal fashion shows while insulting each other on 200 and in the forums about how gauche our fashion sense is.

Oddly enough I have seen plenty of fortnite on youtube and can see nothing of interest in it. What do folks find so entertaining about it?

No idea...and I have thought about it. Think its a "Herd Mentality" thing! Its not that it is fun, as much as it is what everyone is doing! Then again...I am old. Bartender...1 Margarita on the rocks, please! OH, use the good stuff this time :old:

I'm not saying become Fortnite or WT or other games that are holding the attention of the current generation. Looking at them to see what is working, well WO: P is now a reality for the short attention spanned. Fortnite is on it's eighth year and going, so for now they have a combination of factors that hold customer attention for the long term. Still, the AW generation was into WW2 air war while the Fortnite generation grew up on xbox style games and anime. They are immersing themselves in an interactive anime movie at Fortnite. We are immersing ourselves in an interactive WW2 air combat world.

Is there any possible cross over effect to interest those not solidly addicted to the Fortnite anime movie?

1. Instant Action
2. Queued maps where all players "start" at the same time, thus the same "level"
3. Instant gratification (no waiting 20 minutes to intercept those bombers I saw on dar)

Our game requires patience which many gamers of today simply don't have; or at least aren't willing to spend the time to entertainment dollar ratio required to "get good".

That about catches it.  Same thing with WT vs here.  I know I fell into PUBG when it was new for a while, those 3 reasons were a large part of it.  Another part was it could be really funny to watch the situations that develop when you've got 100 people all trying to kill the other 99.  Some of my favorite memories were watching people fight from a bush.

Me too.  I fell out of AH and was playing Battlefield 4/1 for about 10 years. I can see how newbies coming to AH from other games have a real hard time with the pacing.

I used to play sniper a lot and just watch the hilarity through my scope.  People are such silly monkeys. :rofl

My catch-22, and I think it is a problem HT is up against as well, I don't WANT AH to be like other games.  It is nearly unique, and when it's good, I really like the gameplay.  But to make it more popular and bring in the kids, I don't really see how they can do it without turning AH into something it isn't currently.

The Fortnite customers say the same thing watching videos of our game. It comes down to you are one or the other and it ends up being the same result as an act of faith. Believing something is true while never understanding how others who believe something else as an act of faith can believe in it.

In both cases there are fence sitters who can be picked off becasue they don't have enough faith.
