   So i'm in a goon running supps and boy would I like to hear those old 1940's war songs, "Wing and a prayer" etc... How about we have a .radio 5 ### that we can tune to and listen to the tunes of the day, say while we're running supplies to teammates? No broadcasting our own voice on that channel just ol' fashion music?

just open yotube and play whatever music you want.  you dont like commercials pay the 10 bucks a month they want.  it would be expensive for hitech to pay royalties for playing music.

    It was just a thought. I kinda liked the idea that we all were listening to the same song and I have not a clue what kind of music to play. I know I can open youtube but .radio 5 ### is easier plus like I stated earlier I don't have the slightest clue  what the big war hits were back then besides "a wing and a prayer."

red it's a great idea i think.  but paying royalties would be expensive.  best thing is look on youtube for 40's hits.  just did that and would found a couple of hundred of them.

There are songs that are classified as "public domain" from that era.

All songs published in 1923 and before ARE classified as Public Domain. As stated above there are many songs from the 40's that have been voluntarily entered in to public domain.

These means no royalties will need to be paid if the song selection includes jams in the public domain.

I believe listening to WWII era music on Spotify would be less taxiing on the PC, rather than having YouTube videos running in the background.
