This may be useless information but you never know, may help in how long you want them to take to reach their destination.

Barges travel approx 35 mph
Trucks travel approx 60 mph
Trains travel approx 60 mph

Hello BenDover

I was testing, and thats what they were doing.

I would have expected the trains to be doing at least 100mph.

In the game:

Vehicle            Speed ( level surface )

LVTA2               24 mph
LVTA4               24 mph
M16MGMC             45 mph
M3                  45 mph
M8                  57 mph
Ostwind             24 mph
Panzer IV H         24 mph
PT Boat             47 mph

Just extra stuff, I mean dribble

I did some testing. I THOUGHT the barges were added to transport tanks and stuff across the rivers, water, because we didn't have bridges. But I was wrong. So what role will the barges play?

Hello Nuttz

The only thing I see the barges doing is the same thing that the Trains and Convoys do, but it travels slower.

What do you think of the editor?  I think they did an excellent job.

Have you checked out the Object Report under the Object Tab.  Pretty cool, sure helps with missing objects and stuff not on flat terrain.
