Newbie TE question

This is going to be one of those questions where the answer is staring me in the face.

I downloaded the USGS topo data and used MapMaker to export it, then put the exported files and the blank .wca and .wcb files into a new directory, all called the same thing. How do I now load the AH terrain files into the editor, so I can review/edit it? I can only seem to get the default terran to come up.

 Before you put the.typ and .elv files in the AH directory start the editor up and click "build" terrain,then exit the editor and replace the .elv and .typ with the ones you created in mapmaker and restart the editor.
