Amd pre built
« on: July 19, 2020, 07:27:49 AM »
Hi Guys,
We've been here before I know, so please feel free to move this post to the correct location if needed.

O.K
At present, over here in the U.K there are some great deals on pre-built gaming rigs, and being as I've never built one before, was wondering if the rig listed below, would be suitable for AH3, and is good value for money? Doesn't seem to be a hard drive, only a SSD. Also do any of you know, if the case is suitable for upgrades?

Case; Corsair Spec Delta RGB.
CPU; AMD Ryzen 5  3600,  6 core.
Motherboard; Asus EX 320 Gaming.
RAM; 16GB Corsair LPX DDR4.
GPU; Nvidia GeForce RTX2070 Super.
PSU; Corsair Vengeance 750M.
Storage; 1TB SSD
System; Win10

£1300 GBP

Thanks in advance.

It's a solid rig. Should you build it by yourself, the motherboard would require a bios update before accepting the CPU, something that the builder now will take care of. Just so you know that the CPU upgrading options are limited to currently available versions. That said, upgrading the CPU rarely is needed at this level and even if you find it necessary there's many versions of Ryzen 7 and 9 to choose from.

It's hard to tell if the price is right or not as they vary by country. Doesn't look too bad at all compared to what our prices are. The leading Finnish building company asks €1700 for a roughly similar build.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

Motherboard is rather limited, memory specs are not really known, neither is the SSD. PSU way overdosed but of seemingly good quality.
Smells a bit expensive with all the surprise packages included.
