TM HOTAS Warthog
« on: April 23, 2022, 11:45:09 PM »
Gents and ladies,

Been a bit since I last logged on (putting it mildly lol)  Anyways, reinstalled the game, went to fly and the dual throttle works fine but will not and I mean will not invert.  tried inverting in AH, there is no option to invert in windows and it is the same, firewall is zero throttle, pulling back is full.  I've heard this is a windoze 10 issue from my research but as yet haven't found a definite answer.  Any help is appreciated wanna see if the juices still flow!

Thanks

Hi SpinMan,

Welcome back!

I have the Warthog, and use Z-Rotation and Z-Axis for Analog Throttles 1 & 2.  I don't Invert these axes, just leave them as is (full back on throttle gives a value of 65535,full foward gives 0).   I did experiemnt with the Invert check box though, and it DOES invert the values.   I don't run any Thrustmaster software - are you running anything?    I am using Win 10 as well.

Thank you, I’m going to spend some hours today again.  Yes thats exactly what I get, full forward is throttle off or zero.  Inverting in game does nothing to change this.  It has worked previously, I read somewhere that since Win10 and maybe an update this stick depending on the game has had issues with this specifically.  I cant upgrade to Win11 due to my processor not being compatible allegedly.  I did try the target software, I’m really not sure the purpose of this since the drivers and the firmware are separate. I will be deleting the target software it seems irrelevant.

Try these:

Keep the Shift button pressed and click Shutdown for Windows. Start normally. That should give you a fresh start as it will bypass any auto-saved potentially corrupted settings.

Unplug your Warthog, open the Device Manager. Check Show hidden devices in the View menu. Find and delete all greyed instances related to Warthog, including those under HID and USB devices. Restart your computer, plug the Warthog in. Install drivers if necessary.

I've got an older system by today's standards that still runs the game well by my standards.

also be sure to hit the "save/ok" button when you use the invert axis just to be sure it is set in the game.
