ENY is irrelevant for special events. ENY factors in air to ground capability. Had La's carried 1000-2000 lbs of bombs instead of 440 lbs, it would be in the ENY 20-25 range with the mid-war Jugs. It's also why the K-4, Dora, and Yak-3 have comically high ENY numbers also.
The La-5 is a great plane and is well balanced against the K-4 when paired with Yak-3.
Also, how biased is it really when the same design has Yak-3's vs 109G-6's? Guess you overlooked that part.
