I am trying DX9 and mini stutters are gone quite Happy.
Cannot exit game in normal manner must use ctrl, Alt, delete any suggestions?

No need for C A D. ALT F4 works in DX9 too.

I think its a memory issue in the maps. Most of the newer ones (past 3-4 years) give me that trouble. I notice if you just jump on to a map and log back out in a few minutes it closes no problem. If you stay in the arena for a while is gives that "stall" on closing. I seem to remember closing out the game because something came up and I walked away from my computer and when I came back it had finally closed out, but I might be remembering wrong. It only happened once.

I have the same issue exiting the game using DX9. I haven't had any success using alt, F4, so I alt, tab out and close AH that way.

Alt-F4 works for me on all maps, using DX9.

Leave arena, log out instead of quit.    When it goes to the login screen, you click cancel. 

Sure, sometimes it freezes at "leave arena" but you can get out of the game much more easily.

Maybe that will help diagnosing the problem.
