Beelzebub

Thank you to Lyric1 for finding me the info for this skin.

"Beelzebub" was an M4A3 operated by the 2nd Company of the USMC's 4th Tank Battalion during the bloody battle for Iwo Jima. Losses for these tanks were high due to the well prepared Japanese defences of land mines, IEDs, anti tank guns and suicide bombers. So many Shermans on the island received a host of modifications to cope with local conditions and Japanese tactics. Planks of wood backed by concrete were attached to each side of the hull, grills were covered with mesh, spare track was welded onto the turret and hull and nails were welded on top of hatches. Some had planks of wood covering the suspension or drink cans on the rear deck for the use of accompanying infantry.

Exceptional job on this one, Greebo. That wood planking on the sides of the hull is amazing.
