Gentlemen (and Ladies too, sorry the sounds of it is more usual with just one gender... :)),

Anyway, I have a comment to make about this whole thing related to this distructable re-fuelling pad.

SHUT UP and get on with the game.  This was an unfortunate incident of having something that was not the standards.  Nobody knew about it and now we know.

I have been an assistant CM and Group Leader on several occassions, back in AirWarrior.  I know how much work it is.  The CMs, the COs, and the players all alike are responsible for knowing what the standards are.

Please, I really don't want to hear squabbles like players accusing the CMs of not knowing the setup or the CMs accusing the COs for not checking things out.

I am sure that the comments are all well taken, and we will all use this knowledge for the best of it next time.  I, for one, know and believe that the CMs and the COs have been and will be putting in much effort for us the players to have fun during the event.

As for the ejection and banning, well, I can see mistakes being made on all parts and accusations seems to be flying from left and right.  Just a minute, breathe deeply, and let by-gones be by-gones...

As i said brefily in my last post...Mabey a "testing Team" should be made. This team could consist of people not planning to fly in the TOD. They could run through each squad's orders, and make sure everyhting works out.

It was a great TOD and everything but i firmly believe that if the feature of blowing it up is in the game, it should be stated.  I would have checked out to make sure if it had the rearm pad had i known but i didn't.

It was a fun TOD anyway but what are you gonna do :)

So, I take it you would like to volunteer for the team that you are so freely suggesting?

Everyone comes up with the 'shoulda, woulda, couldas', but when it comes down to nut-cutting time, nobody is willing to sacrifice their own time.

Where do I sign up for this "testing team" Sling? I will give up some of my normal play time in this game and a couple of others. In order to actually make sure that items like what happened Friday night don't happen unless they are supposed to happen.

As it stood I was a Ju-88 pilot that got shot down enroute to the bugged refuel point at A47. I stuck around in the arena and listened to and talked with many of the pilots that were getting strafed and loosing planes because they were out of fuel.

One thing I noticed is that my squadron CO/side CO for the event and regualr XO knew nothing about refueling pads as being able to get destroyed. If it was known by the map maker then how come no one else knew about that ability?

Point me to the testing team signup area sir!

Thanks for the hard work you guys put in on these events. I know from having run some over in Fighter Ace 2 that doing things like this is a huge responsibility and it takes alot of free time for other things to pull it off.

Point of clarity, I imagine nobody knew the rearm pads were vulnerable, least of all the map maker.  It's simply a matter of forgetting to set them undestroyable when creating the map.

In frame 2 I remember seeing complaints on VVS chan. 2 about "fields without rearm pads".  So did happen earlier; only in that frame everybody didn't refuel at the same field.

Sling, if the "Testing Team" was formed, sure, i would volenter for it. There would have to be a representive from each axis/allied squad. From (using examples) 12-1pm the allied squads would test there speicifc orders and note any bugs, and from 1-2pm, the axis squads would test there orders, and note any bugs

If TOD map testing becomes de rigeur...then sign me up.

I would gladly give what little time required of me versus the enormous amout of time given by everyone else required to make TOD happen. :D

I also volunteer. I hate to see all that work spoiled by a glitch.

Well Sling, seems like enough people are in support of it...just count me out...DD banned me from the TOD's in the future...so I would be happy to be on the team...but under these circumstances i cant.
