Bit OT, but...  did you know that a limited 262 run is being made here in the soggy state of Washington?

In particular, I like the engine shells.

Yeah, they fly.  

An interesting bit is the false engine casings...  An equivalent thrust modern engine is far lighter and smaller than the old Jumo engines.  To maintain fidelity to the prototype and to keep the weight and balance the same, they have made clamshells that fit around the new engines that look like a Jumo and have the same weight distribution.

I was at their facility when they were still in Texas.  Had a couple tours running through the place in conjunction with the WB convention.  Got to climb all over one & such.  I've got a buncha pictures here somewhere.
