Check Six yeah right
« on: February 25, 2002, 09:30:17 AM »
Hi all im a new player as of sunday. Im at work so ill make it quick.
I always get into these bad situations where i dive in on someone take a shot while diving past them at 500 miles an hour because i was at 10k and they were at 7. I miss then they turn and pursuit one of my fellow country men tells me to check my six, i look at back around and all i see is a big old Seat i try to move the plane around to see him back there but while doing that i usually lose airspeed which makes his catching me alot easier.
My Aces high is right everyone here is so experienced i die faster than i take off..
I lose sight of the enemy everytime.

Man im really lost

Use the arrow keys and page up/down keys to move your head position. Use F10 to set the position you want to keep. You can use F9 to change to snap views but you need to use F1 if you want to change your head position. You'll want to set your head position for each view in each aircraft.

Welcome to AH!

In one day, you've already learned an excellent lesson: If you lose sight of the nme, you will die.

When I started,I couldn't see squat until someone told me about changing your head position in your views.

I found an Aces High website where someone posted their saved views as a file...huge improvement.I can send you the file if you like.

I have a little article up that explains the AH view system as well.  Ignore the stuff about the sight though, it's out of date.
