Nothing Moves, Nothing Flies Frame 3 AAR
« on: February 02, 2002, 04:55:30 PM »
We were in Mosquitos.  Assignments were to bomb A13 and the Ammo Factory near A19.

Red Section
1.  FunkedUp - 1 109 destroyed, 1 109 damaged, 1 Bomber Hangar and 1 AAA destroyed.  Shot down and killed by AAA.
2.  Salt - KIA.
3.  Bikekil -  1 109 damaged.  Bailed out near home airfield.
4.  Dasko - Bailed out near home airfield.

Blue Section
1.  CFIT - 1 109 destroyed.  KIA.
2.  Band - Bailed out near A40.
3.  Rosco - 1 109 destroyed, KIA.
4.  Dogface - Unknown.  Last seen heading home with smoking engine.
Samm - Logged due to delay at frame start.

We bombed the snot out of A13 and then saw high 109s coming in.  92nd tried to engage them in their Typhoons and kept them off us.  But I still got bounced by two 109s near the coast.  I toasted one and had another lined up when coastal AAA got me.     The squadron heard that the Typhoons were gone and tried to make A42.  109s and 190s were swarming all over the place and only CFIT and Band survived the melee.   I think we knocked down 4 109s between A13 and A42, and lost 6 Mosquitos.  But we hit our primary target hard.

CFIT and Band then ran to A46 because the bandits would not leave.  They were able to refuel at A46 and headed back to attack the secondary target.  But they were bounced by several 109s near the A40/P39 area and were shot down.

I hope the Royal Navy did well because RAF got slaughtered.  We failed to achieve any kind of air superiority and we paid for it.

332nd Viking squad's mission was a NOE attack on an ammo factory in northern sussex.
It was a loooong way and we feared there might be a problem with fuel calculations... but we placed our trust in the LW HQ that the mission was possible.
flying at 30 man setting to save fuel (about 250mph), a few feet over the ocean, we were as good as dead had spits found us.
2 scouts were sent 20 miles ahead to alert the main force of nme patrols. none were spotted and we made it to the target still flying 200-250 mph NOE.
by the time we got to the target we had 2/3 of aft tank letf and it was clear this is a one way mission. we leveled the factory and headed to attack a near by field till fuel runs out.
some of us didn't even made it that far, a few others managed to kill a few acks before being dried up and ditched.
I'm still hiding in a shrub as local forces are hunting my men. our plan is to take over a beer celler and spend the rest of the war hiding drunk in it.

92nd Bomber Group AAR

This is my first time posting an AAR up for our squad as acting CO. Just bear with it.  :)

Squad kills.

Kisters- none, KIA
DJ111- 2 kills on FW 109's, KIA
Keez- none, KIA
Bandit1- none, KIA
axis- none, KIA
NewNuke- none, KIA

The 92nd Bomber Group completed their mission on the AAA guns at a13. We flew in with the mossies and disabled the AAA guns so they can bomb the BH. The 92nd Bomber Group was killed in action protecting the other fighters nearby. (at least I think it was a13 that we took the AAA guns out at) Even though we did have considerable losses to our squad, we did accomplish our Primary Mission. After the engagement with the 109's, the 92nd was never heard from again :(
