P-47 pilot recovered 50+ yrs later

I was searching the net for info on WWII aircraft crashes in my home state when I ran across this story about a USAAF P-47 pilot that lost his life in the Battle of the Bulge in Dec 44.

 Was a real good read and I wanted to share it here:
