The 56th FG's 63rd Fighter Squadron is recruiting! Our squadron flies in the Tour of Duty scenarios every Friday and Saturday. Our preferred ride for squadron operations is the P-47 Thunderbolt, just like our historical namesake. The 56th FG in WW2 was the leading P-47 group of the USAAF with over 1000 enemy aircraft destroyed and was the home for the leading aces of the European Theatre, Francis Gabreski and Robert Johnson.

The ideal candidate for our squadron is someone who wants to fly in a unit which employs solid teamwork tactics. You don't need to be an expert killer to join us; we have many experienced virtual fliers who can train you, if necessary. P-47 fanaticism and interest in WW2 aviation history is a plus.

Guys, If you are interested in a real challenge and like the P-47 THUNDERBOLT you will not find a better bunch to fly the "Jug" with. They are a real "class act".

The 56th FG has the best "JUGGS" in the 8th AF!!!

Andijg is right 56th FG is best jug group in 8th AF!
In 5th AF... oh well enough hijacking

Seriously, as andijg said, 56th FG is full of class acts that can help you in many way in your online career. Virtual 56th FG's reputation in WB and in AH is something that everyone should aim, very dedicated jug pilots respecting the real 56th FG's history in every step they take. Highly recommended, if you're interested of flying legendary ETO P-47 squadron.

348th FG remerged with the 56th FG about a month ago. Its now bigger and better than ever! If you're looking for a great squadron, with common interests in flying the big silver and green juggernauts of the skies, this is the place for you. Practicing wingman tactics, formation flying, and anything else we can think of, we have lots of fun! (And sometimes we even get kills too, what a bonus!)
