Forum timeouts?
« on: April 21, 2002, 06:20:52 AM »
I wonder if it is possible to raise the time on the forums so that they do not "time-out" until a longer period has elapsed?  I am quite sure it must be, as I have seen other forums use this same program and "timing out" never seems to be an issue with them.  It is particularly frustrating to come on in the morning, or after a day at work, and see a lot of unread posts, only to have them all "marked read" after spending approximately 10 minutes answering one of them (or just reading one thread)!  I am sure many posts get missed in this way, because a reader does not realise this has happened.  This may not be too important in the General Discussions or similar forums, but in the likes of the CM Forum or Special Events/TOD Forums, it can mean missing essential information.
