Good rudder control can do wonderful things in AH
Flop you see is lag.
And IMO the planes in WB's fly like they are missing an elevator and aileron.

I saw some quality stick stirring tonight myself from a Typhoon.

This particular typhoon would roll 180 degrees in less than 1 second in evasives, then he would jump up and down by about 100 ft at a time, often times hitting the ground on my FE.  He didn't take any damage either.

I was there & saw the same Typhoon, definately was pulling some wild manuevers.

I was abducted by aliens flying black helicopters with warp drives.

<sigh>

Do any of you know how hard it would be to hack game code that's server side?

If I could do that...you think I'd actually waste my time hacking AH? HELL NO!!! Can you say "Online Casino's?"

Manedew is right - the secret to getting faster rolls in the tiffie is proper use of rudder.

Dunno bout the effectiveness of stick-stirring. While the code is there it definitely goes on. Me, whenever I try hard evasives I always end up dying.

Basically people have figured out that some maneuvers look really warpy to the other guy because of net lag.  So they do these maneuvers over and over when they get in trouble.  It's not really stick stirring, it's just taking advantage (knowingly or unknowingly) of one of the fundamental problems of online gaming.  It just worries me that guys never learn real ACM because they find a gamey tactic that works and they stick with it.

I know what lag looks like in AH.  This is pure gaming the game IMO.  It doesn't take any skill to flop the plane around like a tuna.

I can see it now:

AH players join the USAF.  Here is the conversation.

USAF pilot 1:  AH vet, break right, bogey on your 6!

AH vet:  Don't worry, I'll just flop around like a fish and fly through the terrain and he'll never be able to kill me.  If that fails, I'll drag to my osties.

USAF pilot 1:  Uh, ok...

Well I got caught taking off in an FW and immediately went to scissors (2 second intervals)to evade guns and perhaps cause an over shoot.

There was an implication that I was trying to "stick stir". I have no clue what the aggressor saw on his FE, but it's pretty bad if you can't use a legitimate manouver - especially when your a/c excells at it without this being considered improper conduct.

I delivered that wrong Kats...text buffer and time..if I had the time to type it that day, it would have been "That kind of evasive would have caused a warp roll in Warbirds"...we already spoke about this on that day, you still feeling like I dis'd ya?

Sorry, bad delivery on my part.

Not at all rip. My point is that *if* this type of manouvering looks bad on someone elses FE, it would be a shame.

I'm glad to hear it doesn't. I guess it's more a product of someone's conx. The "warp rolling" in WB was a very distinct visual, I have not seen anything like this in AH.
