Salute to Ghost
« on: May 10, 2002, 09:34:19 AM »
VMF-323 had CV qualifications and Fighter-Bombing Qualifications last night with a huge turn out in the TA.  When we finished our FB Quals and began our CV Quals, a few Noobz attempted to "suicide-dive" on our aircraft as we did take offs and traps qualifications...with several "already qualified" members flying cap and Ghost maintaining TA order, we were able to keep the horde away successfully (only one guy got in, after that, a 10 mile "No fly zone" was strictly enforced!)

There may be hope for the TA! ;)

Just wish I was triplets some days so we could keep things smooth in there more often.

Good to see you guys in manly blue planes flying together again. :)

:)  We're getting ready for a "William Tell" competition, thinking of opening it up to several squadrons.  More on this later.

Strictly voluntary. "You want to get better, attend practice!" mentality. We only do it once a year (takes several training days to get everyone thru the cells) Its good for the noobs, and refreshes the vets alike. Gives us a chance to "loosen up" under non-combat conditions build comraderie and friendships that last the rest of your life. ;)
