Will AH 1.11 be the same success as 1.11 was in Warbirds.

I know, I know, 1.10 is not yet out, and I am babling about 1.11 already. ;)

I think of warbirds 1.11 as the good old times in my online career , it was the best Warbirdsrelease ever (in my opinion).

It was in a period where Warbirds was evolving on a regular basis (like AH now) and if I remember right it was still ICI games with the controlls, right ?

I had lots of hours back then and that was in the 2$ hour times, and bills in the 100-200$ range a month, but still I was really satisfied :)

The way this sim is going, I am pretty shure that I will be at least as satisified with AH 1.11 as I was with Warbirds 1.11

My expetations is alot higher now, but so is the standard of AH also :)

You smell that? Do you smell that?
Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning.
The smell, you know that gasoline smell, smelled like victory.

I couldn't agree more, Lasse. WB 1.11r2 was the high water mark for Warbirds, and will always remain the as the "Golden Time" for that sim.

There was just something magical about the gameplay of 1.11r2 in Warbirds, and I think AH is getting close to capturing that magic. I think by the time 1.11 rolls around here we could very well be into AH's "Golden Time".

For me the equivalent era for WB1.11 was the open beta period of AH.  New and refreashing it was then.  Overcrowded and obnoxious it is now.

I have fond memories of WB v1.11. I think you are probably right it was one of the best ever releases of Warbirds before IMOL/iEN got their grubby hands on it. I still keep a copy of that version installed on my HDD for the odd trip down memory lane.

I tend to agree with Yeager, IMO AH has already way out grown what warbirds was/is.

1.11 - 1.6 was a good time for warbirds. But IMO AH has been there since pay for play started.

Will the new bigger maps mark a new golden age for AH?

We can only hope. :)
