The Beta map.
« on: January 29, 2000, 12:05:00 PM »
Love the effect that the map hills have on terrain. Seems to make the map 3 times as big.
I read some where that the map is the same for prod as beta. well the map still has some beta feel to it.
I have been spending alot of time at low level lately and have noticed the following things that should be graphical in nature to fix.

1) could we remove the lakes that fold over the tops of hills.
2) could we maybe put some logical watercourses in, Low to high mountains to sea?
"I need help over the north end of river so and so..."
3) some of the farms fold over cliffs.
4) could the farms get farm houses..
tnks

Good points Pongo.
There are logical water courses in the map and I hope they plan to fill them up soon.
Do you HTC?

I also gotta get me one of those tractors they plow those nearly vertical fields with.

Only if you keep the greens up your self Thorns
Would anyone else like to see the map made larger? It seems like this would give Bombers time to form up and grab and develop a decent fighter cover. Also it would slow down the return attacks of the guy(s) you and your m8s shot down, and give one time to get alt or rtb and have a creamy brown ale before entering the battle again.

JB, I will probably need a couple of doggies to keep the geese off of the greens.  Do you know any doggies that don't pee all over the place?  <G>

I'm glad someone else brought this up pongo. I had considered it but didn't want to at the risk of sounding like a whiner. Maybe they could remove the little farm texture altogether. Kinda takes away from the depth when all the farms are clones  . Rivers and some large bodies of water would also be cool. I'm sure they've thought of this stuff and just haven't had time to do them yet.

Thorns, I don't think you'll be having any trouble with geese on the greens.  ( Sheep maybe.   )
