lazs, do you like abalone?

Wulfie, I think he met Fort Bragg, North Carolina, not Fort Bragg, California. However, ab season starts again in August and I hope to have at least two dive trips up by Westport then. Where did you live up there BTW? I have family in Laytonville.

Nah by the description he used I'm willing to bet he meant Ft. Bragg, CA. I've spent alot of time in both Ft. Bragg areas.

I lived for a long time about 20 miles N. of Eureka on the coast.

And when I get back to the U.S.A./CA. I'm going to get a house on the water at Sea Ranch for at least 4 weeks. 8)

No (scuba) diving for me there though. Growing up there I like free diving more, especially in that area.

Got lucky one day and had to soak test one of these round Bruntingthorpe airfield looking for an ignition snag - 0-60 in about 3.5 and tops out at about 145mph.  Blew my little mind. Flat down runway looked at speedo "hmmm 119 - should be quicker - ahhh" .  Thought "wow this is quick" - looked at RPM lights - still in yellow - booted it to get into green "SHEEEET!!!!"

Powered by Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 with flatslides and race exhaust, race ignition.

Yep... Ft Bragg california..  I lived in Fremont/Newark long ago and the portagees made friggin houses out of abolone shells..  I like the stuff but won't get in the Ocean around here more than ankle deep.   certainly would't submerge myself in it.

Them little motorcyle cars.... You guys seen the NAASCAR looking little ones?   They are I believe 2/3 scale with cycle engines and are very fast..  same for the "hardtop" looking ones that imitate '37 Chevy sedans and 40 fords...   Guy said they will do well over 140.

38ruk.... that sounds about right.

Wulfie, I free dive there too, but at 50 it's getting tougher to stay on the bottom like I used to.

Anyone remember the old Datsun 2000 sportscar? I believe they made a 1600 also.
Friend of mine had 2 2000's. Only one was running at any point in time though. He would just keep swapping parts back and forth keeping one on the road. I drove the puppy once. Was a very fun ride and surprisingly quick.
