Cougar user's have new/updated files?
« on: August 18, 2002, 03:05:02 PM »
The one I have is a mix of Revvin's pre-1.10 file and has SOB's view system worked in with a little change of my own. To say the least it SUCKS because I had to rework some stuff and it is not intuitive at all. So I have trashed it and would like to see what someone else has out here in HTC land.

Also for the time being I am using Revvin's pre-1.10 file and I keep getting a drop or change in how the mic gets used. Occasionally the Cougar will only allow me to use my squadron channel when I press both the S1 and S4 buttons on the Cougar. Then other times I am able to use it as intended (with S1 being range channel from Revvin's setup) but that will drop off and I will not be able to use the buttons for anything other than typing tttttttttttt.

So lets see what you guys have.

BTW, if anyone is interested, I am testing out something new for bomb sight calibration that seems to work well.  I put a cougar trim (Y axis) on the Ant knob.  To calibrate the sights, just roll the knob back and wait for the ground to quit moving.  You can fine tune you calibration without holding the stick back.  So far it seems to work well.

I made a cougar file that works very well for me. I use the thumb stick to move position in teh cockpit and a hat on the right to move the snap views, so I never have a canopy strut in my way.  Feel free to use or modify it if you like it :)
