Strings are governed by the 10^-33 plank length of the space time continum. Space gets spongy at this length and any inverse Radius theory fall 'thru the holes" so to speak and string theory solves the problem. It is thought that the extra 6 dimensions are in fact rolled up and cannot be detected.
