Helpful film stuff.

Could we get a more user friendly interface for veiwing film? a few tips from my self.

  • Make friendly and enemy trails a different color. It becomes difficult to keep track of the trails in large scale conflicts.
  • Create a selectable interfacce (eg ctrl-I) to turn off/on the instrument panels when in outside veiw modes. Make them faded in along the edges of the screen (smaller than normal intruments to not take up valuable space.) This could be useful for newer and vetern pilots. When high in the sky, for example, its hard to judge how fast you are travleing. Also good to observe use of flaps/trim w/o having to be in the plane so you can keep a close eye on vectors of the air craft.
  • Also, if possible w/o much head-ache make it possible to see things from enemy veiws, this would be a very helpful learning tool.

Just some ideas to help pilots learn and make the very steep learning curve a little easier to overcome.

Hot keys for start stop are already there, go into setup keymap when in the film viewier.

We have also started work on a stand alone film view/editor wich will add many of the features you desire.

HiTech thank you

Anything you can do to help rookies out is very kind, the learning curve in this sim is extremly tough. Im a old time gamer, never flew a flight sim before AH so i enjoy the challenge,  or you could say i play it for the challenge. but practicing the wrong methods is counter-productive and with the improvements that can change for the better.

Also i was thinking if would be GREAT to be able to veiw your instruments in OFFLINE mode when flying from a external veiw.. so you can see what your air craft is doing as well as keep track of your speed, climb and trim.

Thanks again!!
