Logitech StrikeForce - ff-problem
« on: April 07, 2002, 11:15:56 AM »
I'm using a Logitech StrikeForce 3d. In the stick's setup program "use center forces in forcefeedback games" is disabled, so that I only feel the forces set by AH (no forces at 0 IAS).

It works fine most of the time. BUT only after I have been flying for a few minutes. Before that I don't feel any forces on the roll axis.

Is anything know about this problem?

Have you treid disabling the software for the joy stick and set it up and configure it just in aces high?

Removed the autostart of lwemon from the registry, rebootet and tried again. Same problem as before.

I reenabled those forces I had turned off (damage etc.) and crashed a plane. Those forces are there on the roll axis, but no centering force by airspeed/trim force.

Problem is still there. I've been running windows 98 / first edition and thought that might have cause the troubles, but now under windows XP the problem is still there.

Elevator axis feedback is correct (near 0 when otr, increasing with airspeed). Works nicely.

Roll axis feedback can be anything. I think it just isn't getting updated too often. On the beginning of the first sortie after startup it's usually zero, when flying for some time set to a somewhat appropriate feedback value in that situation. On later sorties roll axis feedback otr is what it was at the end of the sortie before.

note: i disabled center forces in ff-games, otherwise probably wouldn't feel that something is wrong ;)
