Problem with CH Pro Pedals USB
« on: December 20, 2002, 03:34:31 AM »
a couple of days (or has it been weeks?) ago my right toebrake stopped sending signals. If I look in the control panel under game controllers -> pro pedals it is stuck on one value, around 20 or so. I unscrewed the right brake to see if there was any visible errors, but it looked alright, and the pot seemed alright. Any ideas as to what it can be? loose wires inside the base? I haven't unscrewed the base yet. I unscrewed the left toe brake aswell to see if there was any differences. One difference I noticed was that the pot was stuck to the plastic plate that I took of on the left toebrake (the one that's working). It came loose quite easily though. When I reassembled it, I accidentaly put it in wrong, so now it's giving wrong output, so I've had to disable that toebrake aswell until I put the pot back in the right way again.

ty in advance...

btw. I've been thinking of modding my pedals so that they can be used with my cougar. ie. making a gameport cable for it. I have a description of how to do it (with the usb still working), I'm just wondering if someone else has done it.

There was a thread regarding CH pedals a few months back. It helped me - had to take mine apart, fix a wire and back in business. Do a search for CH pedals and it should show up.
Good Luck............

I got it working... finally... heh... one of the wires from the right toe brake had been cut in half. so I rejoined it... but it took ages to get all parts back in their right place and put the pedal base together after it had been opened.
