Well, I did my offline training and decided to have a quick butchers at the main arena last night - I ended up staying online for six hours, I think I'm addicted.
Those that replied to my first post were right, I bought enough farms to start my own real estate firm, but enjoyed every minute.

My only problems are these - I'd prefer it if the padlock view panned smoothly - that 45 degree snap makes my spatial awareness go to pot. Perhaps Hitech should take a leaf out of Mig Alleys book with those peripheral vision markers. Unrealistic, but a monitor is such a massive disadvantage compared to a real windshield.
The other thing is, do any of you have some hints, how best to keep tabs on your opponent in a dogfight, should you just rely on intuition/slightly inadequate padlock, or is there some trick?

Thanks,

Offline Maverick

Caine,

I haven't used the padlock yet and not sure I will. I am comfortable using the views as they were before. There is a saying in aircombat. Lose sight, lose the fight. If you are engaged, KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE ENEMY as they will ALWAYS do the wrong thing and kill you when you look away!   You can briefly look where you're going especially when close to the ground but maintain primary consideration to the guy intent on ventilating your bird. Oh and don't forget his closest 5 or 25 friends who will swoop in to steal his kill, namely YOU!

 Step 1. lose the padlock

 Step 2. Use snap views.

Step 3. go offline. Fly around the base, keeping the tower in view at all times. Fly at all sorts of angles while you practice this.

Step 4. start snapping from foward view to the view that will let you see the tower. When you can acquire it, without even thinking about it, your ready.
