Not the group just the B-Rail object. Flip it 180 and email me it I guess after you flip it you could select it and save it as a new group.

I really need it inverted 180 degrees.
Could you call it B-rail3?

Thanx

please please PLEASE!!!!!! use the forum for exchanging ideas and files so we all can move foreward.. we dont want a private club within the community do we?!?!?

seems there is a lot of TE related things going on behind the scenes that might benefit everyone.. please lead the rest of us to a higher standard.

Information has always been shared! Do a search and you'll see.

Nuttz has been around since the First Terrain Editor ;) ( sorry Nuttz but I'm aging you :D )
You'll get to see that he is a perfectionist.
When the time is right he'll share his ideas.
Why let out his stuff until its been tested and his terrain is ready for us. :)
This is not a private club.

I  forgot my password ( thx to xp update) i been here a while now myself.

tis true.. i feel left out of the loop of tips n secrets. as do many others im sure.  I think what u guys dont recognize is the signifigant leap foreward in the recent months. there is a gap that those of us from AW are having trouble jumping.  We're got the TE down, btu  i just found out u can flip objects by editing other files in the folder.

my point.. if u never heard of it.. would you know where to look?

I know there are a lot of old messages floating around out there. .. they are just hard to find when your not sure what your looking for. and the board is just too big to read them all.
what i ask is you guys give a lil detail .. just a blurb or 2 when you introduce new ideas so weee (I) can experiment w more advanced concepts. pictures are EXTREMELY helpfull.

I personally am not trying to beat nuttz to the punch.. I'm trying to undestand how he pulls off these hat tricks, and apply his technique to my own work.

you can park any images, docs or examples you like on most-wanted.org in the archives if you lack space, or ftp. ( no porn or non ah related pls) I will keep them online and linked indefinately.

 throw us some bones!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree. There have been many posts suggesting increased tile numbers and certain other helpful topics that never get explained. Just a promise of more info to follow, with that info never flowing into the mb. If the info is here, remember to either post a new topic with the keywords for that info as the subject. Remember the board can't be searched on 3 letter words, so BMP is not a searchable term.

And, I'm just as guilty as some others. I've been holding back on posting information on a height field generater that exports directly to BMP, TGA, 8 bit RAW, 32 bit RAW, Terragen, Leveller and POV Ray files. Works well once you get the settings where you need them for your terrain and get use to the machine interface. It was easy for me since I dealt with machine style interface progamming for 20 years. It is Beta, and I don't know if it's even being worked on yet since the file dates are from late 2002. I have sent a request to the author to increase the world size to 824km with a detail level of 824m which is pretty close to the metric equivelant of the AH map size. Also, for now, remember you're working at about 1/4 scale. So things need to appear way out of whack in the generator for them to work in AH.

World Machine

Pokie, I've been here since the first day the TE was available. 3 years ago??:)

Nhawk, look at page 6 in here, I ALWAYS show pics and explain, althou I'm under no obligation to.

MwDOODY. we all feel left out at times and MANY questions go unanswered. I DO know how you feel, search this forum and you'll see my frustration as a newcomer. I've posted many helps files in here, I always try to help. Many people ask questions in this forum, only to be never heard from again. After awhile answering the same question over and over gets tiresome. I try to answer as many questions as I can, But I can't answer all. The terrain editor is hard enough without adding things that aren't really supposed to work, kinda like you have to crawl before you walk. HiTech himself said " don't try to re-invent the wheel" ( only he had more spelling errors).

Basically alot of information is shared here, it's the best forum on HTC's BBS. Theres also a terrain team with their own private forum ( they don't hang in here either). You may want to ask to get on the team if your really serious about mapmaking.
