Canadian Apology to the US

The Ottawa Village Fool Strikes Again

A large majority of Canadians -- 72% -- believe Canada should have supported the U.S. at the start of the war against Iraq, according to an exclusive National Post/Global News poll

Jean Chrétien is to give a speech in the House of Commons today endorsing the Bush administration's "mission" in Iraq and asking MPs to declare formal support for a quick victory by coalition forces.

The Prime Minister will speak in favor of a government motion designed to show solidarity with U.S. and British forces in Iraq and hope for their victory, even though Canada refused to join the coalition against Saddam.

The motion affirms "the unbreakable bonds" of values and family Canadians share with the United States and Great Britain.

What a surprise!  It took him over a month to decide 9/11 was a bad thing, then blamed the U.S. for its arrogant foreign policies as the cause.  Now he's decided that since its almost over and it looks like the good guys are going to win, that maybe he'd better cover his ass.

Disgusting.......... I'm simply ashamed and embarrassed to tell anyone where I'm from.

Regards,
Badger

1991 when Clinton entered office, avg price of a single family home here was just over 100k. When he left it was 280k.Not a bad return on your investment huh? Fact is we had great economic times during that period, how you can argue that when all the economic data says different is beyond me.

BTW, you mentioned welfare rolls were up during that period(again factless), when in fact they were down. The reason for this was because everyone had a job.

I don't drink... I don't smoke pot.  I used to do both.... I was around people addicted to both.. they could not handle realityu at all.   they felt that they were too "sensitive".     Those who drank addictively were annoying and stupid when they did... those who smoked pot were timid and stupid when they did.

I am not a genius.  the pot is lying to you.

Canadian citizen killed in Iraq while serving with US forces: official
« Reply #98 on: April 09, 2003, 02:13:54 PM »
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/afp/20030409/wl_canada_afp/iraq_war_canada_us_030409162849
2 hours, 43 minutes ago

TORONTO (AFP) - A Canadian citizen, who was serving with the US Marines, was killed in Iraq (news - web sites), becoming the first Canadian to be killed in combat in the US-led war there, Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed.

AFP Photo

"Yes, he was (a Canadian citizen). He was (serving) with the US Marine Corps," said departmental spokesman Reynald Doiron.

"We were notified by the US embassy yesterday" of Corporal Bernard Gooden's death, Doiron said, noting there were few details available about the incident.

The 22-year-old US Marine corporal, whose parents live in Ontario as well as New York, was killed in a gun battle in central Iraq on Friday, according to The Globe and Mail.

He emigrated to Canada from Jamaica in 1997 and became a Canadian citizen on May 2002. The paper said he joined the US Marines in June 2001.

Canada, which has not officially supported the US-led war in Iraq, has three ships, a handful of planes and some 1,000 troops in the Persian Gulf region, continuing to serve in the war against terrorism.

Among the troops are 31 soldiers who are integrated with coalition forces on the ground in Iraq as part of an exchange training program.

Doiron said he was not aware of anything that would impede a Canadian citizen from serving in a foreign military service.

Lazs, Hockey is that thing invented by Canadians that they play on ice or something.  It's an Olympic sport that Canada is very proud to have won the gold medal in 2002.   Of course, they neglect to mention that the last time they won it prior to that was 1952.  :p  We won it twice in that time period.

You guys are drinking the wrong Canadian beer.  Try La Fin du Monde.  :)
