USA vs Mexico tonight in Houston!  So of course, it'll be a pro-Mexican crowd given the extremely high Mexican-American and legal/illegal Mexican alien population in Houston...  

oh well, still will be fun to watch as the Mexicans are prolly still pissed about 2-0 in Korea last year.  

it's kinda like England vs Germany but at a slightly lower talent level.

I see from the other thread that it was a stalemate. The Mexican's will have to get their revenge another day. Was it a qualifier or just a friendly?

just a friendly.  We're using it as a tuneup for our upcoming tournaments.  We've got the Confederations Cup in France coming up in June and the CONCACAF Gold Cup in July, which is our federation's tournament.

The Confed Cup should be fun.  We're only in a group with Brazil, Cameroon and Turkey.  Just the World Cup champs, a good African team and the 3rd place World Cup team.  Not a tough group at all!  It'll be interesting to see if those teams field their best players or if their clubs will put pressure on them to rest them in the Euro offseason.

WC 2006 qualifying for us doesn't begin until the first of 2004.

Oh, our women's team is playing yours in a friendly sometime soon.  I think a week from tomorrow.
