Check the ammo counter on the 205 cockpit screenshot.

Even bad shots like myself won't run outta ammo in this baby.

Dont worry, she had *only* 2x12,7mm with 800 rounds and 2x20mm with (400-500) rounds

Sascha,
that is really an awesome firing power ...! and for a very long time indeed. Now I hope that the MG151-20 will not be porked like the WarBirds one.

The Macchi Mc205 had: 2x12.7mm BREDA SAFAT machine gun whit 400 rounds each (so the AH 205 lacks 30 rounds) and 2x20mm MG151 whit 250 each.

One question:
Is there any specific area, where Macchi is good at ?
As in climbing, TnB etc...
Anyone tested this bird yet ?

Anyway, it seems quite interesting plane

I have new created a New C.205 gunsight, if anyone is interested.  Posted on my "Sorry Excuse" for a Web Page.  The gunsight is c205.bmp.

My initial impression is that it turns better than all but the Spit, is slower than all but the N1K2J, rolls are only fair, zoom fair, climb is better than La5, guns are healthy (with a generous loadout), acceleration is so-so.

In other words, it is a good all-rounder from mid-war. If flown right (that is, against the weaknesses of your opponent) you will do very well. Probably the worst thing about it is it's crippling range. You should watch the needle drop on the wing tanks! You'll think they've been punctured, or that you're looking at your altimeter in a climb.
