Every single one of those P-40b pilots must have had 6 foot boners when they saw those 20 Vals and Kates under them lol.

That was a blast! I came >< close to geting my Val to the Refer, after dodging the first P-40 attacks, then a Hurricain assualt, only to be hunted down on the deck just north of the field.

to Cando for leading our strike, and to Dux for an awesome set of orders.

If it had been real war, you'd have come back the next day with yet more Japanese and finish the field, because the P40's would be without fuel

Is the 308 Polish in the Friday night events? I see only one showed up (lol got the best Kill to Death). But I don't see them in the previous month Friday nights. CM's you might want to send a polite reminder to the C.O.  Ramsey?

81% loss.. na they would not have been back. ;) And the local C.O. (Dux) would have had to sharpen his short sword. :D

Logs would have been up Sat morning but Gremlin's site was giving me trouble and I had to refer to the experts.

As far as the 308th guy, Suave flew with the FDBs as a guest and apparently Sevv slipped in somehow when he saw Suave in the arena.  I missed his name in the shuffle because he had a squad attached.  He ended up following us around because he was familiar with Suave.  He is also Polish and there wasnt any way for us to really communicate with him about his not being registered for the event and therefore not being able to fly.  It just didnt seem right to me to boot someone who didnt understand why I was asking him to leave.

but I had a good time, especially in the last two or three minutes before I got my kate waxed.  That was exciting, trying to dodge through the P40s and get to the refinery.  I wondered at the time why we were being sent in without figher escort.

I got shot down about 5 miles short of the target.

Thanks, axis leaders.  I'll be your bait any time.

Been in the Val in these things before...we (MAG33) had actually managed to get our bombs on the target before dying shortly after by cap, but JUST getting thru, it felt like we'd won the war considering our planes and CAP. ;)

Point of pride:  I was the second to last survivor in the Freebirds, according to the logs.

And considering we lost over 90% of the raid, I shouldn't feel bad about being hung out to dry.

It was fun.

Orders are going to have to be very explicit in wording.  If you leave a loophole, a prudent CO will use it.  Fortunately, was no big deal this time, the allied fighter guys got a ton of kills and the japanese strat guys got to blow up something.
