I've been censored, and I feel it ridiculous.  Most won't have a clue what I'm talking about, but it's the appropriate abbreviation for that country (well, those three little letters AND the period) and is not derogatory in any way unless you want to be oversensitive and place hidden meanings behind the word.  It just makes communication easier to add an "s" at the end when talking of the peoples from that nation.  The PC-police are winning.  Heck, some people are offended at the word "history"--I wonder how long until we are no longer able to utilize that word on this BBS or in conversation.

I find the word that depicts Americans (Starts with a Y, rhymes with Thanks) dispictable and in bad taste. It insults me.  I hope Skuzzy edits/removes that slang for Americans as well. If not, I will complain.

I stopped using the 3-letter J word that is shortened for Japan years ago out of respect.  I hope you guys can do the same using the Y word which depicts Americans. Thanks. (And I'm serious, no BS)

who cares, afterall it is just a word.  It is the meaning that YOU attach to it that makes it insulting in YOUR mind.  I am 90% Polish with strong ties to my heritage and yet Polack or whatever you wanna saw doesnt bother me in the slighest bit, nor do the jokes.

Favor to ask some of you. Please stop referring to "Yanks" when you're talking about the Americans It is not neccessary. For some it is offensive. That Civil War is over. ( I am full blooded-American and have some relatives in both the North and South) Thanks in advance.

I don't have a problem with Yankees.  Just as Japanese don't have a problem with Japan.  I *DO* have a problem with it shortened. Please, out of respect, as you have for other nationalities, do not use the shortened version.

Little thing called respect Puke.  If you are not willing to accept responsibility for your posts, then don't post.  Simple.  That applies to everyone, including me.

Some posts beat the lock.

Let me put it to you another way.  I am second generation removed from Germany.  If you come into my home and call me a Nazi, I will politely ask you to stop.
If you choose to ignore that and do it again, I will throw your butt out of my house.

If you are not willing to respect others, do not expect respect from them.
