Confused by Windows 2:00 A.M. Daylight Savings CTD in a 3:1
« on: October 26, 2003, 11:45:29 AM »
Last night, just before 2:00 A.M., I was looking at the map for one last fight.  I found three Russian fighters attacking a ground target North of P-2, about 5 miles South of our (Finish) base.  It looked like something was shooting back so I thought that they may have been fighting a friendly GV.  I grab a FM-2 (Because FM stands for “F***in - Magic”) and head toward them low.
Its not looking good, I’m on the deck, and not all that fast, I think they were Hurris and a 109 (not sure).  One sees me and heads toward me.  I decide to go for the HO since I’m at a numbers and alt disadvantage.  Better make it 2:1 ASAP.

We merge, we spray, and I’m looking at my desktop.
Windows thought this would be a fine time to let me know about the Daylight Savings change!
I see the Windows time change dialog notice, then see that AH is still running in the task bar.  I grab the mouse and click on AH in the task bar.

Back in Finland… still flying, scan around, only one con (I think…?  Still confused as to what happened)
I scan all over for the other two.  Did they get a Windows notice too?  Did they run home after expending all their ammo on the ground target?  A few minutes later I shoot down a bomber and get a freebie kill for something I never saw.  Was it a gunner?  Did the guy I Hoed finally crash or disco?  Did one of the other planes disco when my AH minimalized and did the game give me a kill of him.

If you were there at this time, fill me in.  I think Window erased part of my memory when it minimalized AH.
Either way, I’m pretty confused.
