TV series "Combat" with Vic Morrow
« on: November 16, 2003, 03:59:57 PM »

Tuesday nights on ABC at 8 o'clock. Favorite TV show of my childhood. I NEVER missed it.

I found it. Along with Highway patrol with Brodrick Crawford, Sky King with the songbird, Sea Hunt with Mike Nelson, The Blacksheep squadron, Voyage to the bottom of the sea ( too silly )

Good stuff. Have six episodes of Combat in the mail..

The Black Sheep Squadron.  Oh the childhood nights watching Robert Conrad shoot down US trainers with meatballs painted on them.

Those were the days.  :D

I agree Torque. I recall seeing them quite frequently. That show was a MAJOR incentive for me to get my own Garand. and I LOVE to shoot that thing. It's the real one in 30-06 not the 7.62 NATO conversion. :D

Going to have to watch it and see if it lives up to my memory of it.  ;)
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Good story lines and the Germans spoke German, what a concept.

Sarge, the Leutnant, Cage, Kirby and Doc..

Felt sorry for the new guy in the squad. You knew he was meat..

Looking forward to seeing and episode after 30 or so years.

BTW, I wanted the Cage's browning..

..and Kirby's helmut :aok

Cage did have the browning ?? And Kirby the camo net helmut ??

Been awhile, we'll see.

Ordered the tape with the "Pillbox" episode...hazy memory of that one.

Gee guys, why not record it? Combat is shown weekdays at Noon on the Action Channel, part of the Starz package on DishNetwork. They did a Combat marathon on Veteran's Day.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

I think Kirby had the BAR.

Dont forget Littlejohn, wasn't he the big guy?

I always like that show, it was classic.

Check out this site for Combat stuff:

I liked it too, but haven't seen it for many, many years. How well does it hold up today?

Dago great site !!

I forgot about little John, he had a blah helmut. Well he was blah too.

I will never cease to be amazed at the internet. It always surprises me in it's diversity.

Good stuff fellas

Nope, Kirby had the BAR.  I am about 99.9% sure on that.

Cage spoke french and had the camo helmet cover.
