Miko2d you reactionary bandit!
« on: November 14, 2003, 01:42:53 PM »
I'm going to be in Manhattan for the first week of December.  I thought it might be fun to meet you for a cup of coffee and exchange some reactionary diatrabe.  Send me a private message if you are interested and we can scheme via email.  If we are really lucky Beet1e will show up and we can beat him up and take his lunch money (If he has any left after that drubbing in California).

I live in Brooklyn but work on Long Island - about 40 miles the other way from Manhattan.
My wife is due to deliver a baby right on Thanksgiving and I have a 2-year old.

There may be a slight chance for me to get out that week but realistically, I'd say the chances are slim...

Let's get in touch right before you come it, just in case.

Miko:

Well...

Private messages are disabled, but I think you can send me an email via the bbs features.  Please do so so that we can try to make arrangements through email.

Narsus happens to live on Long Island and I will be going up to see him.  If we are lucky perhaps the Miko/Narsus/fd-ski cabal are all located in close proximity and it will be easy for us all to meet for lunch or dinner.  Given your current circumstances, if we can do something that is most convenient for you this would seem optimal.

Best of luck with the new baby.

Beet1e:

Lazs never forked over my share of your lunch money.  Is MuckMAW holding it on my behalf?

I'd like to see Miko2 break down the bill.

"History and suspect quadrants seemingly number driven have proven salad has a numeric value of 20/3, therefore I owe the NYSE an unique amount. Less than $5, equal to -$10 dollars total.

Stock prices are determined according to the laws of supply and demand. Buy and sell orders for a given stock interact in a single location, ensuring that each order is exposed to a the widest range of potential buyers and sellers as possible, no matter how big or small.  So basically I owe nothing, and you owe me for one salad.

Member firms may send orders electronically from the floor directly to the specialist through the NYSE SuperDot system. The specialist represents these orders as an agent in the trading crowd, and if eating salad, that member regrets the inaccruate assumtions of anyone reading the AH BBS will read all his posts.

Dude, bring a Visa.

OK, a dinner on Long Island sounds much more realistic than the one in Manhattan, provided I do not take those days off to stay home with my wife that week.
I work close to Hicksville (L.I.E Exit 41)

I will try to accelerate the birth so it happens the next weekend (Nov 21-23) or the one after that (Nov 28-30) but those things are hard to control. :)

Hooligan, if you are willing to organise me, fd ski, muckmaw, etc., I've sent you my e-mail.

exit 41 is where the IKEA is, right ?

If so, i'll have to drive. If we can make it weekend, it would preferable.
Weekday it better be really late dinner :)  Trafic into LI and on it is a total b....h

Firm pressure around the midsection is a good way to start the process.  Be prepared for some whining.  You may in fact want earplugs.

[edit]

Organizing a bunch of indepent-minded (dare I say it) reactionary bandits such as the list above is going to be a thankless task.  Nonetheless I feel that as it is my opportunity to give something back to society and the AH community I will embrace this most odius task with patriotic fervor.
