AH has an audible stall warning system in place.

It has this sort of clicking sound that still scares the crap out of me every time I hear it.

But did WWII planes have stall horns? I don't recall reading anything about a stall horn. I think they just felt the shudders and if not caught soon enough or if pulled too hard did the inevitible snap/spin?

Though not realistic, I think it helps make up for not being able to really "feel" the aircraft.  Even with WB, I don't take it as a literal stall horn, but more of an indicator as to the feeling of the aircraft - - same deal the the little attitude tick-marks... (just as long as it's not WAY overdone like in Fighters Squadron).

Thanks for reply. IMO it is a good thing, not everyone has FF joysticks to feel the stall.

Stick shakers were for the big birds (b17).  There are times you want your fighter to stall.  No Horn please.  I can see what is happening by checking air speed.   If there is a horn, plz give the option of turning it off.

Yes, Wizard, of course you need to stall the plane sometimes.

And the horn gives me the feedback just how far I can go. FF gives it by shaking, stall horn by sound.

It always amazes me of the common misconceptions about stalling and stall speed. They realy arn't the same thing at all. Any plane can stall at any speed given that the wings dont come off first.

Stall speed is just a common notation for a plane at Max angle of attack generating 1 G of lift.
Stalling is a plane exceding its max AOA at any speed. I have always loved the U2 flight envolope in that at it's max altitude envolope a pilot had to ride the edge between stalling and going supersonic by about 20 or 30 MPH.

As for the stall sound when I finaly write the GUI for it all sounds will be able to be turned off or volume configured.
In addition you will be able to customize all your sounds for each plane.

Yup, Bradburger's stall.wav is the #1 customization for WB.

"Stick shakers were for the big birds (b17)"
I dont think so, if B17s has "artificial stick shakers". Like in todays boeings.

When the aircrafts stalls, its controls shakes by natural reasons
Stalling provide a air turbulence at the control surfaces, shaking it... and the control colum too. Of course.

FF is the must in any flight simulation.

Nothing is like u feeling ur aircraft right on ur hand.
