Put the P-51D in this and I will be there. I would bet that most of the 412th would be there too

The thing is that nobody is going to fly the "weaker" birds if they have a choice.

Spit IX, 51D allies.
205, 190-D9 Axis.

Well matched, both sides with a "turner" and a speedster.

Dueling arena.  Pick the fields.  Launch at a given time, no other rules.

Keep it as simple as possible is my advice.  That way it's down to the pilots, not the rules.

If you want a closer match, I'd suggest replacing the SpitIX with a La5FN. The 205 and La5FN are pretty close in regards to turning, La5 might be faster.

Just my opinion though.
