Okay, seems everytime I put a mission up, I get flooded with questions on "how to join", here's a few tips if you're joining a mission that is planned out well:How to view, "Whats the Mission???":Go to Maproom then Viewer then highlight the mission you wish to join, check out the name of the mission poster on the right to make sure you have the right flight, and highlight the mission with a left mouse click.Mission Type:If the mission builder has created this mission with thought, the Target will be mentioned in the title of the mission. You can read the title and/or the briefing under Start time. A short precise summary of the mission is best pracitce(ie, "USAF Jabo to P14")Joining the Mission:Find a flight that you would like to fly in, then highlight that flight, and hit the 'ACCEPT' button at the top of the page. Now, look down near the bottom of highlighted mission and right above the Ordnance Loadoutcolumn...if the planner is thinking ahead, you'll see what your flights' particular target is. This is so there is NO confusion as to what your target is.Waypoints:I personally don't use waypoints in my pre-made missions since they take longer to edit, and time is money in a fast flowing game like Aces High, so, check for waypoints, if there are none in your flight, then assume its a straight in approach to the targeted field. Some may have waypoints in their mission, this is a good time to check them out while waiting for the flight to launch. ALWAYS tuck in tight to the FL once mission is launched, and listen to him, he'll tell you what to do, and if you're wandering away from the pack, he'll hollar at you as well.Communications:Next, find out what text channel that mission is on. I highly suggest using Channel 3, which is purple text, and only those within 25 miles radius hear this channel.(Make sure you are in tower at the mission field it launches from to hear ch.3 while in tower, mission launch field is under the field column to the right of your highlited mission) Find out what Roger Wilco comms are being used (Channel 5 is a dedicated Roger Wilco Radio frequency)Flight Leaders for each element:Find out who is FL for the particular flight you have chosen, and once airborn, the FL should be assigning exact targets, ie. "Darling, hit center acks,LaVa hit outside acks, Raider hit VH ack and secondary is clean up on acks" Mission Launch Time:Now, just wait in the tower for your flight to launch, your plane, load out, launch is all automatic. Pay particular attention to the launch time, some missions may have delays built in depending on distance to target for different A/C types to arrive on target within 30 seconds of each other.Remember, there is a Mission start time and a Flight Start time, the latter being in the column next to your flight. If you notice any errors, tell the Mission builder your concerns, we're not perfect and errors on fuel/loadout/start times happen occasionally. Your flight will auto launch in the aircraft you have chosen, usually a "ROLL" command is issued in the mission text channel immediately upon spawning on the Runway.Late for a flight?:Simply follow the instructions on "How to join a mission" and hit accept, you will be immediately launched, then you can try to play catch up with the rest of the flight. The mission remains up until the mission creator deletes it or logs off.
