I was going to wait for the new AMD 64 939 pin cpu's but it looks like it won't be until later in the year until they will be in enough supply to purchase. I will now go with one of the current 745 models. Still damn fast cpus.

Anyone here have an AMD64? If so which motherboard do you have and do you like it?

I'd wait, the inquirer has been wrong on many occasions. Besides what's an extra 4 months or so ;)

I'd suggest waiting also ... the 64 Cpu is still getting standardized
(as in pin amounts) The P4 went thru the same thing .

Last week I upgraded to an Athlon64 + Asus k8v combo.

The installation went without a hitch, stability has been good and speed, well, it simply blows away my earlier XP1900+.

In americasarmy my framerates went from mid 20's to 85 (vsync.)
It was a good purchase.

I even installed 64-bit XP on it.. As any XP it sucks bollocks though. It has even more 'helpful' automated functions that do nothing but enrage the end-user.

For example: Try to configure a network connection. Use add-wizard. It says 'network connection SHOULD already be configured.' But it isn't as the gigabit-lan drivers aren't compatible.

Gotta love it.
