Don't bother with purchasing an original 808.  You can get the same sound out of a TS-9 with the "brown mod."  Do some searching on the internet and you'll be able to find the parts or someone who could do it for you.

Hey guys

Would anyone be able to give me a ball-park figure on a Fender Mustang?  Not sure of the year, bought for me in 1966 so I'm fairly certian it's a pre-CBS model.  I never did really like it that much, my Jazzmaster from the same time-frame plays nicer.  Would be nice to know though.

I'm not much into effects anymore but when I need to get 'close' to a sound.. (note close does not equal exact).. I use the line6

(bar band stuff)

for real tone, nothing but tubes
