Marathon Runners?

Have any of you ever run a full (26.3 mile) marathon?  I would be interested in hearing stories from first time marathoners, especially those who started training for the event with little or no prior running experience.  I just ran two miles today for the first time since high school, and I already have my sights set on the Marine Corps Marathon in October!!   :cool:
