Was the conviction just...or the result of a vendetta against a strong-willed, successful, but obnoxious woman?

oh come on , everybody knows she was selling on insider knowledge that the drug was not approved and the stock was going to drop the next day when all the "little people" found out.

poor martha (sob sob), what about the people that bought the drug stock she was selling? they lost big time the next day, and what about the people who had stock in her company , they lost money due to her greed. i think she got off light.

BTW there are still civil suits pending against her.

Had she been a GOP donater, the press would have been all over that aspect of the story.  Unfortunately for  the press, she was a major contributer (max. allowed by law) to the Clinton re-election campaign, and the Gore campaign.  Just saying...

Only one thing convicted Martha.. Arrogance. She thought her celebrity would help. It didn't. She could have cut a deal and it would have cost her maybe $100k. Right now she stands to lose hundreds of millions of dollars .......... hubris.
