Friend is going to set up a computer for hosting several Counter Strike sessions at same PC; what would be preferrable setup for such a box in a 1500-2000$ price?
I'm not sure what OS is he going to use, my guess is it's going to be a Windows box first.
- Any idea if Dual CPU would be a good choice in this case?
- AMD or P4 ? Opteron? Xeon? Why ?
- Hosting several games eats RAM; any reason to use RIMM instead of DDR?
- Registered/ECC or not ?
- SCSI or IDE/ S-ATA HDD ? (10gb is enough at first)
